Hinton prioritizes amplifying the voices of underinvited communities in the Pacific Northwest.
We recognize the importance of giving space and visibility to authors from groups that have historically been excluded from the publishing industry. We work with authors who identify part of an underinvited community, including but not limited to:
People of color
LGBTQIA+
Individuals with disabilities
Individuals from low-income backgrounds
By publishing works from these communities, we aim to shed light on experiences and perspectives that have been overlooked or ignored in mainstream literature. Our goal is to build a literary community that is inclusive, representative, and reflective of the diversity of our region.
