Youth Historians
A partnership between Seattle Public Library, South Seattle College, and Hinton publishing, aimed at teaching young people the skills to research local history beyond what they are taught in schools. Meets twice a month at the Capitol Hill Library (with one meeting at the Down Town Central Library), on Wednesdays after 4pm for 2 hours, from September 2024-May 2025
Cohort Program
Recommended for young people ages 14-19, to learn how to research our region's past, and then work to share your knowledge with your peers. All as part of a group.
Independent Program
Recommended for young people ages 20-25, working as mentors to the historians in the cohort, and doing independent research on an aspect of local history they are interested in.
